Web-, E-mail, and EPP interfaces

Each of our interfaces communicates with the API system, which will handle your request and send it to the registry instantly. Resellers can choose from 3 interfaces;

Webinterface

When you plan to register tens of domain names a month, our user friendly and well-organized webinterface will be a good choice. Both resellers and webusers can use this interface, however resellers have access to more functionality.

e-Mail interface

Our e-mail interface is specially developed for medium-sized resellers and is a very appropriate choice when you want to integrate it into you CRM software. By letting your CRM software fill in the e-mail templates automatically you can automate most of the registration and management request of your domain names. To ensure safety, all e-mails will need to be signed by a PGP key, which you exchange with us prior to your first e-mail registrations. Your PGP-signed e-mail will be handled by our central API system automatically, you will receive a PGP-signed response to your request by e-mail within minutes. More information on the e-mail interface, PGP keys and example e-mail forms can be requested at our supportdesk. Keep in mind, this information is only available to Realtime Register resellers.

EPP Interface

With an EPP integration you will make live registrations possible without doing anything. Realtime Register uses EPP*, (Extensible Provisioning Protocol) within their central API system, which is an XML communication protocol for domain name registration. The EPP interface is especially interesting for larger resellers, or resellers who have the possibility to develop their own software. Using our free sample scripts, you can easily integrate our EPP interface into your own software.

*EPP is a proposed standard for a domain transaction communication protocal by the IETF Provisioning Registry (provreg) working group. The protocol has been adopted by a large number of domain name registries (organizations maintaining TLD's), making communication with our API very solid. We expact the EPP protocal to become the worldwide standard for domain registration.
